Hellbergs was founded in 1950 in Sweden by Kurt Hellberg, as a facility for making heavy security doors for air raid shelters. In 1955, we made our very first fire test for steel doors to the building industry. In the 1960s, we began to manufacture marine fire doors for the ship and offshore industries. One of our prominent early projects was working for the famous Queen Elizabeth 2 (QE2) liner. Our aim and ambition is that Hellbergs shall always be known for high quality and aesthetically pleasing marine doors – doors you can rely on.
