Fire-rated doors for fixed and floating platforms

Rapp Bomek fire-rated doors are tested according to all applicable specifications and are type-approved by Det Norske Veritas (DNV), the American Bureau of Shipping, Lloyd's Register of Shipping and the US Coast Guard for use on fixed and floating platforms.

The fire-rated doors are manufactured under a strict QA system in compliance with ISO 9001, and those delivered to platforms in the North Sea continue to perform well after more than 25 years in a harsh saline environment.

Watertight hinged doors

Rapp Bomek watertight doors are developed to meet the requirements of Solas II-1/20-2 regulation 6, and the Stockholm Agreement. The watertight doors are tested according to these guidelines and are approved by DNV.

Ship bulkhead weather-tight doors

Rapp Bomek weather-tight doors are reinforced to meet the strength requirements for ship bulkheads. The doors are fire-tested to A60 according to IMO regulations.

Mild steel, stainless-steel and aluminium door-leaves and frames

Door-leaves and frames of mild steel, stainless-steel or aluminium are available, and Rapp Bomek doors are available in several ratings and types, including:

Mooring equipment

Rapp Bomek's mooring equipment includes roller fairleads (St Lawrence type), Panama chocks (welded types), bollards according to NS standards, guide rollers, chain stoppers and rope drums.

Emergency towing system

Rapp Bomek has developed a safe, economical emergency towing system that complies with IMO rules for tankers above 20,000dwt. The light, compact system is stowed on deck in a watertight compartment fixed to the deck, with no wires, chains or ropes to get in the way during normal ship operation.
