SOS Inc. Streamlines Offshore Crewing Operations Through BASS Applications

BASS

Oslo, Norway, December 14 2005: BASS, providing BASSnet™ fleet management solutions has signed an agreement with Philippines-based Supply Oilfield Services Inc. (SOS Inc.), chaired by Louis Paul Heussaff. Following the recent Farstad deal, this contract is yet another signed with a company in the offshore sector, representing another significant milestone for BASS.

Under the terms of the contract, BASS will install BASS CrewNet (Office) solution, helping SOS Inc. to streamline their crewing operations in the Philippines. BASS CrewNet is an advanced, cost-effective software solution designed to improve crew management systems. In addition to providing the tools for improved crew allotment, the system enables rapid exchange of vital crew-related information ensuring that crew management routines and procedures are consistent with the latest regulatory requirements.

The software allows users to improve crew administration, crew management systems and includes modules which help track reports, licenses, vessels, crew evaluation, salaries, crew budgets, travel and 'sail experience', among other key features. While designed for the maritime industry, BASS CrewNet is perfectly suited to the needs of the offshore sector.

According to SOS Inc. Chairman and CEO Mr. Heussaff, "The company's growing business requires an advanced, reliable solution. Previously, we used a locally developed crew management programme. Since our business is expanding, we recognized the need for a faster, reliable and efficient system. We have carefully studied several software providers and we found that BASS had the solutions we were looking for."

Alan Tai, Regional Sales Manager, says that the contract will help the company secure more business in the offshore sector. "At present, we are in discussions with several other companies in the offshore sector - not just in Asia but also in Europe. Our work with SOS Inc. will help put us in a better position to expand our market share in the offshore sector."

Alan noted that the reason BASS was successful in securing the contract was because of BASS's reputation for providing solutions that work. He adds, "word travels fast in this industry, and we have received positive feed back so far. We were also fortunate that some of SOS Inc. employees are already familiar with BASS solutions from their previous jobs with other maritime companies."

The contract also indicates BASS's growing business in Asia. "We are seeing increased demand for our fleet management solutions in the booming Asian markets," says Alan. "Our goal is to continue building on our success, one customer at a time."

BASS also recently signed an agreement with Farstad Shipping ASA, a leading Norwegian Shipping company operating offshore supply vessels globally.
