MSI Makes a Full Switch to BASSnet™ Software SolutionsBASS
MSI Ship Management Pte Ltd (MSI), a renowned ship management company operating out of Singapore, is making a major IT system upgrade for its full fleet, choosing BASSnet™ for its total solutions requirements.
MSI is switching to BASS to achieve maximum efficiency and to realise their mission to provide the highest quality ship management services to their valued customers. "We chose to work with BASS because they share a similar commitment to service quality and service excellence that complement our business strategies, said Li Kwok Hung, Managing Director of MSI. "We went for the complete modules of BASSnet™ suite software solutions," he added, highlighting the competitive advantage that it gains with this new implementation.
The advantages arise from BASS' award-winning software solutions that include modules for maintenance, procurement, operations, safety management, risk management, review and improvement of operations, human resource management, payroll, and report generation.
With BASSnet™ solutions, MSI can enjoy a high level of efficiency in multiple ways, such as scheduling maintenance, reducing down time on its vessels, achieving optimal utilisation of spares/stores and overall improvement in the management of its vessels.
MSI manages a fleet of more than 50 vessels. The value of a smooth transition is a critical benefit of selecting BASS as it means that its 2,500 seafarers will be able to convert to the new system on time and within budget.
BASS' Chief Executive Officer, Per Steinar Upsaker is pleased for having MSI as part of its clients. "We are keenly conscious that MSI's vote of confidence proves that BASSnet™ software solutions and quality of service meet the stringent standards that shipping majors maintain. Furthermore, we are confident of partnering with MSI's growth to prove our solutions development." he said.
MSI has offices in Singapore, China, Philippines, India and Thailand. Its achievements include being selected by Brazilian mining giant, Vale, to manage the world's largest iron ore transhipment vessels, MV Ore Fabrica and MV Ore Sossego.
