LOROWERK of Germany is a world leader in the design and manufacture of lightweight discharge piping for shipbuilding and offshore constructions. The LORO piping system includes the LORO-X steel discharge pipes, LORO-XC stainless steel pipes and LORO-XD steel pressure pipes all for shipbuilding constructions. For the last 25 years, LOROWERK pipe work has been extensively specified for sewage installations on cruise vessels, conventional ferries and fast ferries, container ships, tankers and gas carriers, naval ships and off-shore facilities. LORO pipes are used and trusted today by most of the world leading cruise line companies. The pipe work in diameters ranges from DN 40 - DN 200, and is made from either hot-dip galvanised steel with additional internal coating, stainless steel or CUNIFE. The pipe work is assembled by locating convenient length of pipes, various fittings and deck penetrations, via a 'push-fit' socket connection with rubber sealing elements. This ensures simple installation and rules out any further requirement to weld, glue or flange the pipe work. LOROWERK PIPE WORKIn comparing LOROWERK pipe work with other systems, such as conventional steel pipes, PEH or PVC-pipes, the LORO piping system offers numerous advantages saving particularly on installation time, large reductions in weight, high stability and temperature resistance. LORO pipes are incombustible and come with a complete, ready to install selection of pre-formed pipes comprising bends, branches, adapters, bulkhead penetrations and scuppers. The pipes and fittings can be used above freeboard deck and below in enclosed spaces and machinery overboard connections. For convectors through 'A' class divisions special deck and bulkhead penetrations are available. Fire tests are recently done in accordance with the recommendation for Fire Test Procedure for 'A' and 'B' Class Divisions, adapted by the IMO by Resolution A.754 (18). LOROWERK drainage pipe work is approved by the International Classification Societies, for example Germanischer Lloyd, Lloyd's Register of Shipping, the American Bureau of Shipping, Det Norske Veritas, Registro Italiano Navale, Bureau Veritas, Seeberufsgenossenschaft and the China Classification Society. THE LOROWERK PIPE WORK RANGE:LORO-X discharge pipes, DN 40 - DN 200 are made from precision steel, hot-dip galvanised with additional internal coating. The range includes pipes in delivery length from 250mm up to 6,000mm, fittings like bends, adapter branches, bulkhead penetrations and scuppers, for gravity discharge and vacuum applications of black/grey water and rain water. LORO-XC stainless steel pipes, DN 50 - DN 150 are made from stainless steel 1.4301 and 1.4571. The range includes pipes, fittings and bulkhead penetrations, suitable for gravity discharge or vacuum application, especially in conjunction with aggressive problematic materials such as industrial or kitchen wastes. LORO-XD pressure pipes, DN 40 - DN 150 are made from hot-dip galvanised steel with push-fit socket connection. A newly-developed LORO-FS form clip ensures a secure connection under high pressures up to PN16. Range of application includes compressed air, cooling waters and distinguishing lines. The pipes also come in several lengths of up to 3,000mm with bends, branches, adapters and deck and bulkhead penetrations. For more information, please contact:
