Metos Marine - Galley and Laundry Systems

Metos Marine is one of the leading suppliers of galley and laundry equipment to vessels worldwide. Our equipment and furnishings are used in more than 2,500 ships including icebreakers, naval ships, cargo vessels, passenger ferries and luxury cruise ships.

In-house production of most equipment guarantees consistent quality control, efficient material handling and short delivery times. Layout design and training are also part of our services.

The Metos Marine agent network covers all important shipbuilding countries.

Galley equipment

Metos produces main cooking equipment for galleys in-house. Ranges, kettles, ovens, distribution counters, dishwashers and tilting frying pans are designed and manufactured in Metos' production units in Finland, Sweden and Estonia.

Other equipment, like refrigerators, coffee machines, etc., is supplied under the Metos brand by high quality European manufacturers.

Metos also designs and produces custom-made stainless-steel furniture.

Laundry equipment and sauna units

Metos Marine can provide a full equipment range for laundry and even sauna areas. We can offer washing machines and drying tumblers from small 6kg models to big industrial machines with capacities of 25kg or more. Sauna units are available from two-person to three-person mini-saunas to custom-made sauna rooms for 12-15 persons. Sauna units include sauna rooms, sauna heaters and accessories.

Galley, laundry and sauna equipment spare parts

Our centralised handling of both products and spares enables us to provide high availability and cost efficiency for thousands of different spare parts. Weekly we send many shipments of galley, laundry and sauna equipment spares all around the world. Even for products no longer in production, we guarantee spare part availability for ten years after purchasing.

Galley and laundry equipment technical support and training

For our international business partners and subsidiaries we have dedicated personnel to provide technical support and spare part services for galley and laundry equipment. We can provide individual installation and service training, both centrally in our factory or at the customer's site.

Along with new products and product developments, we provide continuous product training for our own technical support personnel. This way we can make sure that our customers receive accurate and up-to-date technical support and service.

Metos' quality system is certified by DNV for ISO 9001:2000 and ISO 14001:2004, covering all services from production to sales. Our technical documentation group provides high quality technical documentation in English.
