Beijer Electronics - Ship Operator HMI Panels

A boat is a world in itself, whether it is a one-person yacht or a ship with a crew of different nationalities. Everything that happens on board has some effect on the crew, the passengers, the cargo, or the vessel itself.

This makes it essential to put information and controls in the hands of the people who need them, something that Beijer Electronics is uniquely qualified to do.

EXTER SHIP OPERATOR PANELS HUMAN MACHINE INTERFACE

The ship operator-panels in our EXTER series replace traditional indicators and switches with an attractive, user friendly Human Machine Interface (HMI). With intuitive ease, they handle virtually any system onboard – from power and propulsion to lighting, heating and cooling, cargo management and dewatering.

The many panels to choose from are all marine-adapted and certified for use at sea. Moreover, they integrate easily and can be placed anywhere on aboard, letting you put information where it is needed most. That ensures smooth sailing, in any weather.

TOUCH SENSITIVE OR KEY BASED OPERATOR PANELS

The safety of ships, the comfort of passengers and the quality of cargo depend on the right decisions at the right time. Fortunately, gone are the days when decisions were based on analogue meters and gauges.

EXTER operator panels put clear and correct information at the user's fingertips. The touch-sensitive or key-based panels can be adapted to specific needs, either those of the user or those of the system controlled. This lets the same interface work in any onboard application.

FLEXIBLE SHIP OPERATOR PANELS

With a wide range of software objects, including dynamic indicators and controls, a single panel can be configured for countless functions. Support for passwords and multiple languages, as well as Asian and Russian characters, brings the right information to the right person with minimum effort.

In addition, EXTER operator panels allow for effective alarm management. Crew members are informed immediately when values fall outside the norm, which means that action can be taken to minimise damage or difficulty.

Any event – either critical or routine – can be automatically logged and referenced with GPS data.
