MARITIME COMPUTERS AND SERVERS

Data Respons' certified computers and servers are designed to operate in rugged maritime environments. Each unit is individually manufactured to provide maximum quality and reliability.

The A3xxx series comprises flexible computer configurations that meet a wide range of requirements for the maritime market. The units contain a special shock mount that effectively reduces the shock and vibration influences from harsh environments. The A3xxx also includes an Intel® Pentium® 4 processor and it is available in both AC and DC versions.

The A4xxx series is similar to the A3xxx. It is available with horizontal, vertical or rack mounting. A riser version is available for full height cards.

RUGGED MARINE ENVIRONMENT COMPUTERS

The A5xxx series is designed to operate in rugged environments and where space for installation is limited. The models have flexible configurations with ultra-low power consumption. High performance models utilizing Intel Core™ Duo® processors make it possible to run powerful applications despite the small size.

CF sockets make it possible to equip the models with solid-state storage with no moving parts. Dual gigabit networking furthermore expands the range of use for these models.

The A5xxx series is designed to meet the approved maritime computers requirements by all major maritime classification societies. To qualify as a maritime computer, the classification societies have established rigorous testing processes. The computers are subjected to extreme variations in heat, humidity and vibration. The computers in the A5xxx series are undergoing all these tests to be type-approved.

MARITIME ENVIRONMENT IT SOLUTIONS

The maritime market demands modular and flexible IT solutions – for the monitoring and visual presentation of data, for example.

The Maritime Flexible Concept (MFC) comprises an LCD monitor with an integrated panel PC, which can be installed in a console or desktop. The PC is an extractable micro box computer, which can also be used separately together with other monitors. The solution can alternatively be installed as a 19in LCD maritime monitor. This is done by installing a video controller instead of the micro PC. The video controller uses the same connection and has the same shape and appearance as the PC.

Space and weight have high importance onboard vessels and offshore installations, in addition to the functionality, technology and industrial design requirements. MFC is an ideal combination of these properties. The products have been developed in accordance with IEC 60945 4th / IACS E10, and the solutions in the concept are currently undergoing extensive testing by Det Norske Veritas (DNV).
