Since 1978, Cleemann Chair-Systems has been a very successful supplier of chair systems to shipbuilders all over the world. Being well-known for the high level of flexibility when designing an individual seat application, we have become established as a leading company in the market.

Our upholstery division and design department enable us to realize every customer's wish. That is how we became the sole certificated manufacturer of upholstery with fire-protection standard DIN 5510-2.

All our chairs offer high user comfort, and are always designed to the most modern standards to ensure they are both safe (through fire-resistant material) and ergonomic (through lumbar-support).

Helmsman chairs

The popular and highly functional Nautic helmsman chair offers high comfort to the user. All functions can be operated while seated. The chairs are designed according to the ergonomic and technical requirements of leading classification companies. It is also available as an 'ergo-package' with lumbar support and comfort seat cushion for special demands. A special version of this seat has been tested at the German armed forces' test centre with shocks up to 120G.

Helmsman and operator chair

A helmsman and operator chair with comfortable design, and the ideal space saving solution for smaller wheelhouses, the Dolphin corresponds to the requirements of leading classification companies.

Special marine mission chair

The Operator IMO is a special mission chair (certified by GL) for naval and high-speed applications. A very strong shock-absorbing system combined with a proven mechanical suspension leads to ultimate safety and comfort in rough sea or speedy operations.

Operator chair

A highly functional operator chair, the Operator fulfils all ergonomic and technical requirements. Due to its strong design, and a special shock-absorbing system, it is often used for mission boats and in rough seas.

Wheelhouse and operator chair

The Wavemaster is a new wheelhouse and operator chair certified by DNV (collision tested: 12G) and especially designed according to the demands on high-speed crafts. Due to its strong but lightweight construction the Wavemaster offers an ideal solution for special applications.

Seagull non-revolving work chair

A strong, but easy to move non-revolving work-chair for pilots and operators, the Seagull's serial features include backrest adjustment, height adjustment, height-adjustable and foldable armrests, and a comfortable height and angle-adjustable footrest.

The Nautic, Nautic Star, Nautic Pro and Dolphin marine chairs are ideal for large vessels such as containers, tankers, MPCs, Ro-Ros, and smaller vessels like workboats, tugboats, pilot boats, and inland waterway vessels.

Nautic Star, Operator IMO and Operator marine chairs are ideal for fast vessels, special ships (such as patrol-boats, coastguard vessels, police boats, HSCs, etc.), and naval and military ships. For passenger ships the Nautic (Classic, Star or Pro), Wavemaster, Operator IMO and Voyager models are best.

Sliding deck rails

All our chairs can be mounted directly on our famous sliding deck rails, which are made of V2A stainless steel and offer a wide range of possibilities to increase the comfort and safety on-deck of nearly every wheelhouse. They allow chairs to be moved into the desired position while being sat upon and the very compact mounting height (36mm) enables easy mounting on or into the floor.
