Abeille Bourbon 2AC-9 Fitted with maxit Marine Flooring Systems

13 September 2007

The ship Abeille Bourbon is owned by Abeilles International, a unit of Groupe Bourbon. The crew is made up of sailors from the French Navy and is located in Brest. It was built at the Myklebust yard, in Norway.

FUNCTIONAL AND DURABLE MARINE FLOORS

The ship uses products from maxit, which supplies functional and durable floors specified for ships requiring fire insulating constructions with non-combustible materials, sound insulating constructions, primary deck coverings, and more. Floors for Abeille Bourbon, like all ships, are subject to extreme stresses, such as knocks, vibrations and tremors, and shrinkage and failure to adhere are common industry problems. Products from maxit have eliminated these issues.

MAXIT 4660 MARINE ELASTIC FLOOR

The maxit product used in this ship is the maxit 4660 marine elastic floor. This material is recommended for ships and oil platforms in areas where the self-levelling compound is applied as underlay for most types of flooring.
