Urethane Products Corporation - Urethane and Polyureas Marine Floatation Products

Urethane Products Corporation (UPC) provides a wide range of urethanes and polyureas with an emphasis on marine industrial products. The marine environment is extremely harsh but our product line can endure extreme conditions such as exposure to severe temperatures, salt water and UV light.

We have experienced engineers with expertise in chemical, mechanical, industrial and systems engineering. This allows us to engineer high-quality products to fit the needs of our customers. We incorporate a culture of six sigma and lean manufacturing to deliver to our customers the best quality at an affordable price. Based on the concept of continuous improvement (kaizen), every UPC team member is empowered to make improvements in quality, productivity and safety.

FOAM-FILLED FENDERS

We manufacture the Marine Guard netless fender. This fender is constructed with the latest material technology, and provides the ultimate protection for ships, harbour crafts, docks, piers and wharves. Marine Guard netless foam-filled marine fenders provide a proven solution in a high-performance fendering system.

Our Marine Cushion fender offers solid protection for ship to ship and ship to dock applications, providing superior abrasion resistance under the harshest conditions. These fenders are constructed with the same quality as out Marine Guard foam-filled fenders.

The Marine Guard monopile donut fender is a foam-filled fender which is designed to float on a central stationary-driven steel monopile. This unique design enables the donut fender to ride up, down with the tide and rotate freely around the monopile, making it ideal for fendering in areas of large tidal swings used for corner protection or as a turning dolphin.

FOAM-FILLED BUOYS

Our range of foam-filled buoys include the following:

  • Chain through buoys
  • Cylindrical utility buoys
  • Mooring buoy
  • Oceanic buoys
  • Pendant buoys
  • Rectangular anchor pendant buoys
  • Navigational and market buoys
  • Semi-spherical support buoys

URETHANE FLOATATION FOAM

Urethane also offer floatation and insulation urethane foams. The UPC 50-2 rigid urethane foam is a US Coast Guard approved floatation and buoyancy foam meeting specification MIL-P-21929B. It is available in a two-part pour system or spray system, and in pre-foamed billets or sheets. This urethane foam material is used in numerous applications including flotation for buoys, docks, boats and ships, and life-saving equipment.

DREDGE PIPE FLOATS

We manufacture Marine Guard protective floatation dredge pipe floats. UPC now offers the latest technology in dredge pipeline floatation.

Features of the Marine Guard dredge pipe floats include:

  • Marine-proven elastomeric skin
  • Nylon filament reinforced skin
  • 100% closed-cell foam
  • Slip-through design
  • Flexible, resilient construction
  • Standard size modules
  • Custom sizes / buoyancy available

These floats are resistant to mechanical abrasion, chemical contact, UV and ozone exposure. The floats are energy absorbent even if the skin becomes punctured.
