A New Name - But Continuous Commitment to Power Conversion Solutions

We are very pleased to announce that our company, formerly ALSTOM Power Conversion, has now become Converteam. This name change is an important milestone in our communications to better reflect our shareholder change and our new status as a stand-alone company.
Converteam has been chosen because it is fully in line with the way we consider our business, and with our total dedication to performance. Our worldwide workforce remains more than ever fully committed to one objective: to bring our customers the best in the power conversion technology with customised and competitive solutions and to ensure truly effective service on all our markets.
Converteam operates in three core markets (marine and offshore, particularly with electrical propulsion systems for civil and military vessels, oil and gas and process industries) and addresses several other markets (renewables and wind, test benches, power generation).
Converteam will more than ever be a partner of choice for the delivery of effective solutions that yield measurable benefits – enhancing the safety, availability, efficiency and competitiveness of industrial solutions.
Converteam, formerly ALSTOM Power Conversion, has been, since November 10 2005, a stand-alone company held by Barclays Private Equity France (BPEF). Converteam is a €700 million leading player in the power conversion business, positioned as a system integrator and specialised in customised solutions for converting electrical energy into mechanical energy based on the appropriate technology (drives, controls, motors and generators).
