Heavy-duty pitch propellers

The new BCP pitch propeller is developed for heavy-duty applications with the pitch setting hydraulic servo-cylinder in the hub. The hub lubrication system is a unique oil circulating system with an integrated moisture monitoring system.

This is the first hub system in the world where the moisture content is constantly checked, making it possible to protect the entire propeller system as well as the environment.

Pitch propeller with feathered features

To improve flexibility for ships equipped with a twin-propeller system, Berg has added feathered features to the BCP pitch propeller's hub. In an emergency situation or a low speed condition, you can stop one of the propellers and put it into a feathered position, ensuring the drag of the propeller is minimized and saving fuel.

Transverse thruster systems

The Berg transverse thruster system comes in two different models – the BTT and the BFTT. The BTT is a controllable-pitch propeller thruster normally used for constant shaft speed. The BFTT is a fixed-pitch propeller thruster used when shaft speed is variable and reversible.

The propeller unit has gear housing and can be removed from the tunnel when installed in your ship. This makes maintenance quicker and easier.

Propeller and thruster control and analysis system

The BRC 800 single and double-panel system enables your crew to analyze, control and oversee CP propellers and thrusters for all types of vessels. The system uses processor technology and provides clear graphic information on displays at all required control stations.

24-hour propeller maintenance service
