The Finnish Limited company Raahen TEVO Oy, has acquired the equipment and all current assets of Finnscrew, an enterprise manufacturing propellers for marine vessels, and its foundry located in Turenki, Finland.
Finnscrew has over 50 years of experience in bronze founding and machining. Recently the company has made heavy investments, specialising in the manufacture of large propellers made out of aluminium bronze for naval ships. The company possesses a melting capacity of up to 50t per casting.
TEVO will continue propeller production and repair at the Turenki plant from October 2005. There are many ready-negotiated delivery contracts for more than half of the planned capacity. The biggest individual customer is Rolls-Royce.
TEVO continues to operate at their three plants in Raahe, Finland, as a machine builder and producer of spare parts and maintenance services.
As a new product TEVO will also start to manufacture wear parts for machines.
