ONBOARD ENERGY MANAGEMENT

The TecnoVeritas energy management service is offered to vessel owners who wish to cut down fuel costs and emissions. A team of surveyors will join the ship for a period to conduct the energy audit, measuring and surveying the ship's potential to reduce fuel consumption. Power quality, gensets and main engine performances, steam system, boiler performance and losses, lighting and heat exchangers are surveyed.

A full report, with corrective actions and their economic impact is issued after the surveys are completed. Additionally, a program is implemented, with targets designed to ensure follow up of the evolution of a ship or fleet.

SHIP VIBRATIONS MEASUREMENT

TecnoVeritas offers a service of onboard vibrations measurements. When vibrations are induced by machinery or other sources, damages are to be expected.

TecnoVeritas surveyors are experienced and well equipped, providing services of noise and vibrations measurements, producing reports with practical actions to stop the discomfort of crew and passengers and to avoid costly machinery damage.

SHIPPING MACHINERY DAMAGE INVESTIGATION

This service has been provided to owners, as well as to machinery manufacturers worldwide. TecnoVeritas' surveyors’ technical knowledge associated to a wealth of equipment and testing facilities results in high technical quality reports.

Investigations include cracked piston crowns, broken crankshafts, scuffed liners, heavy smoke, worn camshafts, broken, worn, or eroded turbine blades, damaged boilers, and compressors or cargo pumps, as well as all electric switchgears.

FUEL QUALITY ANALYSIS

The TecnoVeritas express Heavy Fuel Oil (HFO) analysis service provides the owner with a report giving the basic HFO properties on the same day of the arrival of the sample to our laboratory. Fuel oil density, viscosity, water content, nature of water, LCV, HCV, CCAI, CII, Asphaltenes content, optimum injection temperature, minimum pumping temperature and compatibility are all detected.

ONBOARD FUEL LABORATORY

TecnoVeritas produces the Fuellaboratory. This is a fuel laboratory that can be carried onboard, allowing crew to establish during the bunkering the basic properties of the fuel you are embarking. All the tests are reference to international standards. The laboratory can also be used to determine some physical properties of the lub oil.

The TecnoVeritas online fuel blender allows one to make a fuel blend online to improve the quality of a blended fuel. Two pumps are electronically controlled (locally or remotely) to produce a blend of fuel with improved combustion properties.

DIESEL ENGINES CONVERSIONS TO DUAL-FUEL

Where natural gas or any fuel gas exists, it can be used to run existing diesel engines, cutting down the operating and maintenance costs as well as emissions. TecnoVeritas offers the retrofit with fully certified hardware. Electronically controlled multi point injection ensures a high degree of safety and high performance. No engine derating or mechanical modifications.

PREDICTIVE AND RISK-BASED SHIP MAINTENANCE

TecnoVeritas implement predictive and risk-based maintenance programs on an international basis, according to practical knowledge and experience. Tools include infrared thermographs, vibration analysis, ultrasound inspection, video endoscopies, and a methodical approach to the client’s reality, including in-house training.

TANK PRESSURE VACUUM MONITORING SYSTEM PVMS

A fully certified intelligent tank pressure vacuum monitoring system is offered with identification of tank, pressure, time and compensation with the actual atmospheric pressure. The PVMS can be interfaced with other existing monitoring systems.
