TecnoVeritas to Attend Gas Fuelled Ships Conference 2011

Tecnoveritas is attending the Gas Fuelled Ships Conference in Rotterdam from 26 October to 27 October 2011.

Jorge Antunes (CEO, TecnoVeritas Asia Pacific, and TecnoVeritas Portugal Ltd,) will be representing the company at the event in the Netherlands.

The paper that will be presented looks for the potential fuel efficiency and exhaust gas emissions advantages, interest in dual fuel operation of internal combustion engines.

Also, the presentation will describe the conversion of two 4.5MW marine Diesel engines, modified to use a combination of natural gas and heavy fuel oil and the development of the engine monitoring and management system, including the use of knock measurement to control the amount of natural gas used.

Experimental results will be also highlighted, showing the performance of the engines under different modes of operation.
