TecnoVeritas to Install 24 VEEO Mk2-Voyage Energy & Emissions Optimisers on APL/NOL Vessels

In 2011, TecnoVeritas won an order from APL/NOL to supply 24 VEEO (voyage energy & emissions optimiser) systems to be installed on board their container vessels, some of them with capacities of 5500 TEU, operating around the world.

Ship owners need accurate and human free error measurements to know how to make their vessels more energy efficient, thus reducing fuel costs and future emissions costs. They have to know how energy is used on board in order to know how energy saving actions will impact on ship operational costs.

After a first trial of VEEO Mk1 on board APL England in early 2010, another 24 VEEOs were delivered during 2011 to further extend the benefits to the fleet. Early this month, APL Scotland received its VEEO Mk2, a more sophisticated system than it predecessor, allowing an overall control of ship fuel management, including an unbeatable bunkers module and weather related KPI's.

VEEO crew interaction interfaces allow an optimised operation in terms of energy and emissions.
