New Voith Turbo Fluid Coupling 1330 DTL for Voith Water Thruster (VWT)

Voith Turbo developed the fluid coupling type 1330 DTL for the latest VWT generation. This is the biggest surface-cooled hydrodynamic coupling with constant fill Voith ever built.
Usable up to a capacity of 3,000kW at 900rpm, the 1330 DTL represents the extension of the former DTL series. The most compact coupling is easy to mount and requires the lowest degree of maintenance expenditure.
After a 12-month period of development and testing, the 1330 DTL has been introduced in the market and was highly welcomed. Voith Turbo already received orders for a total of 16 couplings for 8 VWT; they expect more orders for ten units in the short term.
The first two units have been successfully operated by Bugser Og Berging A/S, based in Norway, since January 2004.
