Founded in 1987 and located in Nedre Vats, close to Haugesund on the western coast of Norway, Hatteland Display is a world-leading supplier of marine displays, computers and panel computers. CUSTOMISED MARITIME DISPLAYS As a key supplier to the majority of systems integrators Hatteland Display knows the importance of meeting demand and delivery commitments. We therefore continue to invest in our state-of-the-art 5,270m² facility. Hatteland Display has approximately 180 employees and all products are manufactured to exact customer requirements within the high capacity 4,500m² production plant number one (opened in September 2003), whilst the 300m² plant number two, our optical technology facility, which opened in October 2006, has improved our capacity even further. A new dedicated technical centre, opened in March 2008, also improves capacity and ensures that our products are able to operate faultlessly in extreme marine environments. We manufacture many of our own components using sophisticated techniques and machinery, and QA systems such as VSM, 5S and KPL. Hatteland’s knowledge of international shipbuilding standards and military specifications, coupled with its experience in qualification and certification of products to these standards, is unsurpassed. We are ISO-9001:2000 certified with a quality system that covers all functional areas and facilities to ensure the quality of our work products. COMMERCIAL, NAVAL AND YACHTING MARKET COMPUTERS We focus on commercial, naval and yachting markets and a broad product range ensures our ability to meet specific requirements, whilst also being targeted for the exact application the customer requires. For commercial markets, we supply ECDIS and ARPA radar-compliant units and full type-approvals from major classification societies. For naval applications we supply displays and computers tested according to MIL-STD 461E (1999) in addition to extended IEC 60945 tests and MIL-S-901D Class 1 test (Hammer test). For the yachting sector, we provide bespoke solutions for superyachts and products for various leisure and fishing systems such as chartplotters, echosounders and radar.
