Julian A. McDermott - LED Ship Navigation Lights

Julian A. McDermott has been a leading manufacturer of warning lights since World War II. In business for over 60 years, we take pride in producing durable, long-lasting lights for a variety of marine uses, creating products that reinforce our motto "You can count on us to light the way to safety."

Our line of products includes lights that can be used on barges, dredges, anchors, and tugboats, as well as marker lights, rotaries, hand lights, arc and peep lights, and buoys. Below is a brief description of some of our most popular marine products, all of which are certified by the United States Coast Guard (USCG) approved laboratory, and meet UL1104 regulations.

TUGBOAT AND WORKBOAT LED NAVIGATION LIGHTS

The TB2D-SERIES is an all-around LED navigation light for use on tugboats and workboats. It is produced in port, starboard, stern and tow versions, and all are USCG-certified for boats up to 50m. All units are guaranteed for one year, and the LED assembly lamp is guaranteed for two.

The TB5-MAST is another all-around LED navigation light in our tugboat series. Also certified by the USCG, and to COLREGS as per UL1104, the TB5-MAST LED navigation light is visible for up to five miles and can be used on any vessel up to 50m.

The TB6-MAST tugboat LED navigation light, meanwhile, is certified to be visible for up to six miles.

ANCHOR OR DREDGE LIGHTS

The solar TOPHAT series comes in pipe, magnetic, platform, or buoy mounts, and is USCG certified for use as anchor or dredge lights.

These anchor or dredge lights have a ten-day battery backup, and the NIMH batteries are replaceable.

BARGE LED-NAVIGATION LIGHTS

Our BGLED888 series LED-navigation lights for barges are all certified by the USCG-approved laboratory, and come in waterproof, rugged, all-polycarbonate cases with a built-in screen.

Available separately in port, starboard, stern, and flashing styles, or as a kit, each light uses rechargeable or dry batteries and is three-mile certified. These LED barge-navigation lights have a lamp life of three to six years, and operate for six nights on standard dry batteries and two weeks on alkaline spring batteries.

BGLEDCASE 4.5 LED BARGE NAVIGATION LIGHT

The BGLEDCASE 4.5 is another of our USCG-approved LED barge navigation lights. This solar light comes in both magnetic and permanent mounts with a solar panel.

It can be purchased in port, starboard, stern, or flashing styles, and does not require recharging. The BGLEDCASE 4.5 LED barge-navigation light can be purchased separately in each style, or as a kit to outfit your entire barge.

RECHARGEABLE BARGE NAVIGATION LIGHTS

In addition, we also carry a rechargeable version of this light with a magnetic mount, called the BGLEDCASE. These barge navigation lights, also available in the four different styles or as kits, are certified for three-mile visibility and operate for ten nights on the rechargeable battery.
