DMA Sorption is an environmental company founded in 1991. We specialise in the development of filter and separator solutions for water and hydraulic oil purification needs. We offer solutions to any wastewater management problem.

Many operational procedures generate oil-contaminated wastewater, which can be difficult to handle and dispose of. DMA Sorption's products are developed to solve these problems. Our filtration system DMA Oil Absorption is especially focused on customers in the shipping business and in the types of industries which experience oil contamination of their wastewater and various oils.

OIL ABSORBTION FILTERS

The DMA oil filtration system purifies all kinds of oil-contaminated wastewater to values below 5ppm. Besides meeting environmental and legal demands, the DMA oil absorption filter is economically viable, easy to operate, reliable and contains no electrical devices or moving parts.

Our goal is to offer filtration and separation solutions for any wastewater management problem, and our main focus is the filtration of particles and hydrocarbons such as oil. We also work on solutions for filtrating wastewater containing heavy metals and cleaning of hydraulic oils.

ENVIRONMENTAL WASTEWATER DISPOSAL

DMA Sorption is especially focused on our customers in the shipping industry and in the types of industries that experience oil contamination of their wastewater. For both costumer segments it is the one common denominator that DMA Sorption's products are first and foremost environmentally correct. We are an active participant in the environmental area with strong ties to the business world as well as public and private organisations.

ECONOMIC WATER PURIFICATION FILTER

When the concentration of oil in wastewater exceeds environmental demands, companies suffer substantial costs in disposing of the oil-contaminated wastewater. This expense can be severely reduced or cut out altogether by purifying the water using the DMA oil absorption filter. This product is based on an innovative filtration principle, where Multiple Layer Cartridges (MLC) are used. Furthermore the filter can be placed even where space is scarce due to its large capacity and small size.

BILGE WATER PURIFICATION FILTERS

DMA recognise that most ship owners experience problems in relation to the purification of bilge water onboard their ships, not least the ships fitted with the older types of separator systems (IMO 60-33). It is the goal of DMA Sorption to supply the shipping industry with filter solutions that at the very least meet the legislative demands for oil concentration in bilge water. The DMA oil absorption filter provides the shipping industry with a solution that ensures that oil concentration in the wastewater always is below 15ppm, in adherence with current regulations.

COMPACT ONBOARD FILTER SYSTEM

Its capacity, in comparison to its size, makes the patented DMA oil absorption filter especially suited onboard sailing ships (retrofit)and where space issues are always a problem. Furthermore the filter system can be fitted on new buildings and is easy to operate and contains no moving parts or electrical devices.

The filter system purifies all forms of oil-contaminated wastewater, even emulsions, to a concentration of less than 5ppm. The DMA oil absorption filter is also suited for purification needs necessitated by gasoline, petroleum and similar organic solvents. The filter is normally installed after the separator and before the ppm monitor.

OIL FILTRATION DEVELOPMENT

Research and development is the core of DMA Sorption's business. We have been developing solutions to improve the water environment for over 15 years.

We are in the process of launching our own full stage IMO 107 (49) compliant bilge water cleaning system, which includes a first stage system consisting of a separator and a self-cleaning particle filter in combination with our above 'second stage' filter systems.

Furthermore, the system will include our newly developed PPM monitor, based on the latest florescence technology developed in cooperation with the most reputed scientists in this field in Denmark.

Today we have at our disposal facilities and technical expertise for further development, research and testing of various filtration systems. Our employees have a broad cross-disciplinary knowledge with degrees in the fields of science, engineering and laboratory technique.

We continuously develop and optimize filtration processes focusing on oil, solvent, and heavy metal contaminated wastewater. Furthermore, during the last three years, we have worked on surface modifying of different polymers in relation to separation processes.
