MAB Lubmin Invests in PEMA Vertical Welding System

28 May 2008

German company MAB Modul- und Anlagenbau Lubmin, from Germany, is one of the latest shipyards purchasing the unique PEMA VWS vertical welding system.

MAB is a newly established shipyard, located in the city of Lubmin, close to the Polish border. They are acting as a subcontractor for several shipyards mainly in the Baltic Sea area, producing complete blocks for them.

Pemamek recently delivered to MAB a vertical welding station with a huge gantry having span of over 33m. Four vertical welds of up to 3.5m can be welded simultaneously with this system. Typically this kind of welding station can replace eight to 12 manual welders in production efficiency.
