Dräger Safety provides a comprehensive range of products and services for preventing and combating all conceivable accidents onboard ships.

Our products include gas-detection technology (including portable instruments and fixed systems), fire-fighting, diving and personal-rescue equipment, and complete air-supply systems.

We also have training programmes, safety-management solutions and a global network offering customised products and services.

SHIP GAS-DETECTION SYSTEMS

Our ship gas-detection systems can detect toxic gases or vapours, a shortage or excess of oxygen, and the release of combustible gases and vapours. They initiate counter-measures to protect people, workplaces and the ship.

Entering confined spaces on ships without precaution presents serious health risks from potentially explosive or toxic gases and vapours, as well as oxygen deficiency. Our gas-detection instruments can reduce the hazards.

SEE-BG GAS-DETECTION KIT

The SEE-BG KIT, comprising the single-handed accuro® gas detector, a three-metre extension hose and tubes for CO, CO2, nitrous gases, O2 and Polytest, allows quick and reliable measurement of concentrations of oxygen and toxic gases – even in inaccessible places.

GAS SPOT-CONCENTRATION MEASUREMENT

For short-term measurements, Dräger tubes can measure the spot concentrations for over 500 gases.

PARTICLE-FILTERING MASKS

Particle-filtering half masks protect the wearer from solid and liquid particles. High filtration-efficiency, low breathing-resistance, a very tight fit, optimum comfort and protection levels from FFP1 to FFP3 are available.

SINGLE-FILTER PROTECTIVE MASKS

In ambient air of at least 17% oxygen, single-filter protective masks afford adequate protection against all contaminants.

Dräger's extensive range of one-filter systems with half and full face masks includes the RA and Rd91 series, which cover virtually every need.

TWIN-FILTER PROTECTIVE MASKS

Twin-filter masks offer a high level of protection against all harmful substances. By combining half or full face masks with particle, gas or combined filters from the comprehensive X-plore filter range, they are perfectly equipped for all sorts of different tasks.

Dräger X-plore series' side-positioned filters offer an excellent field of vision.

POWERED AIR PURIFYING RESPIRATORS

Our lightweight and highly ergonomic powered air-purifying respirators offer effective and comfortable protection when working with filtering respirators.

Thanks to the blower, almost no breathing resistance is generated. The air-flow strength can be individually varied.

COMPRESSED AIR ESCAPE APPARATUS

Our Saver series compressed-air escape apparatus provides a 15-minute air supply. The Saver PP has a full face mask, while the Saver CF possesses a tight-fitting hood.

OXYGEN SELF-RESCUERS

Our Oxy K 30 and Oxy K Pro oxygen self-rescuers provide instant 30-minute protection against toxic gases and oxygen shortage. They are ideal for self-rescue and rescue teams.

FILTER SELF-RESCUERS

The Parat C fire-escape hood filter self-rescuer provides protection against smoke and fire gases for at least 15 minutes, allowing ship passengers to escape from their cabins or to be evacuated.

The DefendAIR filter self-rescuer provides protection against chemical, biological and nuclear warfare agents.

LOCAL POSITIONING SYSTEM

In hazardous situations, it is crucial to know where employees and passengers are at all times. The Local Positioning System (LPS) provides the complete accurate location of all onboard. Predefined emergency procedures can therefore be worked through automatically, logically and successfully.

SUPPLIED-AIR BREATHING APPARATUS

When working in atmospheres with less than 17% oxygen in the air, personnel must be provided with supplied-air breathing apparatus.

Self-contained breathing apparatus sets offer a limited supply of air from cylinders for shorter operations. Normal or mini compressed-air sets, and – for longer operations –compressed airline systems are available.

CHEMICAL-PROTECTIVE SUITS

We also supply chemical-protective suits for when hazards threaten the entire body.

DIVING EQUIPMENT

Dräger produces high-class diving equipment (suitable for diving to depths up to 600m), for recreational, professional and military divers, as well as a full range of diving bells, complex pressure-chamber systems, decompression chambers and mobile transport chambers for first aid to navies.

CUSTOMISABLE BREATHING-AIR SYSTEMS

Dräger's customisable breathing-air systems can be installed either as fixed systems or in mobile containers.

They include compressors and high-pressure oxygen booster systems for compressed air, oxygen and mixed gases, allowing all necessary gas mixtures containing up to 100% oxygen to be produced.
