PTR Holland - Ladders, Container Floors, Insulation Systems and Oil-Spray Shields

PTR Holland delivers high-quality safety products for ships, including pilot and embarkation ladders, lifeboat ladders, container floors, insulation systems and oil-spray shields. We have received certificates for the different kinds of materials we use such as ropes, aluminium clamping sockets, and our wooden, polymer and aluminium steps.

Vessel accomodation and gangway ladders

PTR Holland fabricates ladders in a variety of materials with many options available to meet your requirements. The aluminium accommodation ladder is an external folding stairway for access from ashore or from tender alongside.

We also produce an aluminium gangway ladder featuring folding handrails for stowage ease. Gunwale clips secure the unit to the ship and rectangular punched grating provides a durable non-slip surface.

Pilot and lifeboat embarkation ladders

Our pilot and lifeboat embarkation ladders are available in hardwood, polymer and aluminium, and deliverable in various sizes.

Aluminium-alloy wharf ladders

Our wharf ladders are made of the finest quality seawater-resistant aluminium and available in sizes up to 15m.

This solid construction features heavy-duty aluminium anti-slip floor and aluminium treads. Wharf ladders are able to withstand pressures up to 225kg/m².

Aluminium bulwark ladders

Our bulwark ladders are made of the finest quality seawater-resistant aluminium. Special dimensions can be made on request.

Air pipe heads / air vent heads

Air pipe heads and air vent heads are used for water, oil tank and air applications; they are fireproof and waterproof.

Our personal oil transfer basket's features include:

ExoWrap insulation system

ExoWrap, the 'one-step' insulation system for thermal protection, is the quick and easy way to insulate high-temperature surfaces in vessel engine rooms. It is rated to 1,000°C.

ExoWrap is a revolutionary system made from biosoluble vitreous silicate fibre, which is reinforced with an outer jacket of heat-sealed aluminium foil. In tape or blanket format, ExoWrap eliminates the need for bulky and time-consuming layered insulation.

ExoWrap insulation blankets

Ideal for straight pipes, valves, exhaust equipment, turbochargers, and angled and uneven surfaces, ExoWrap insulation blankets are secured with ExoWrap 'Silihesive' tape for ease of maintenance.

Navy Roll safety protection tapes

Navy Roll safety protection tape has been developed to overcome the disadvantages of conventional forms of shielding in engine rooms / hot surfaces. It is made of multi-layered fibreglass and is suitable for heavy-duty environments including ship engine rooms.

Ideally suited for both repair and overhaul of existing vessels and new builds, Navy Roll can be used for joints, flanges, couplings, valves, pumps and other non-standard fittings.

Oil-spray prevention shield

NoSpray fire safety and protection system is a DNV certified aluminium / glass cloth jacketing system designed to prevent the spray of flammable oil, thus preventing fires and loss of life. NoSpray offers you the simplest and most effective solution for compliance with SOLAS regulation II-2/15.2.11/.12.

SteamKote HT pipe dressing

SteamKote HT pipe dressing is a high-temperature coating formulated to protect against corrosion on steam pipes, valves and deck equipment. It forms a flexible 'skin' when cured that will not crack, peel or harden even under harsh marine conditions.

TFE Spray-Guard pipeline shields

Type-approved TFE Spray-Guards protect engine rooms and hot surfaces against hazardous spray outs from pipelines containing fuel or lube oil. Designed to fit specific joints exactly, they have no seal, so can easily be removed and re-installed for access to pipe-work during maintenance (or in the event of a leak).

The shields are constructed from Teflon®-coated, multi-layered fibreglass with a central Teflon® scrim for strength. This material is inherently resistant to ultra-violet radiation and 100% fire-retardant.

Shields for standard flanges, valves, couplings, elbows and tees are kept in stock. For these we only require pipe size and joint type.
