SERVICING AND TRAINING

The world-wide network of servicing stations ensure the proper servicing of any life-saving appliance sold by VIKING and subsequently handed in for inspection.

Inspection procedures are prescribed in the service manuals supplied and being kept updated at all times, and the stations also keep a comprehensive stock of spare parts.

All staff employed with the servicing stations have to attend servicing courses run by the VIKING servicing department and they all have to finish up with passing a servicing test to be authorized as qualified servicing operators of VIKING life-saving equipment. In addition, refresher courses are held at certain intervals.

As to training, VIKING assists customers in setting up the requisite onboard and offshore crew-training programmes to suit operators' needs.

RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT

Research and development is of prime concern to the VIKING group. We put special emphasis on the importance of developing our safety equipment in close co-operation with our customers.

Being able to meet almost any demand relating to safety at sea is a first priority and we are in a position to supply complete marine evacuation systems (MES) rather than just single units.

These stations are manned by VIKING trained personnel, highly experienced in testing, servicing, and repairing VIKING equipment.
