Damen Multi Cat 2712 Fox Fighter vessel

Norwegian ship owner Samba has accepted a new Multi Cat 2712 aquaculture workboat from Damen Shipyards Group, as part of an order placed last month.

The new vessel named Fox Fighter was christened on 12 June at Damen Shipyards Hardinxveld in the Netherlands.

The Damen multi cat 2712 Fox Fighter vessel will be used by Samba in the spot oil market as well as in the Norwegian aquaculture sector, with plans underway for mooring and maintenance tasks in the future.

In 2013, Samba acquired a Damen Multi Cat 2409 on a four-year contract for mooring jobs in the salmon industry, including treating salmon with hydrogen peroxide to combat lice and amoebic gill disease.
