Martechnic® to Exhibit Smart Products at SMM 2016: Switch to Industry 4.0

As a preview to SMM 2016 and its special theme ‘Digitalisation’ Martechnic® is ready to present its newly developed Industry 4.0 concept in the area of portable test devices for on-site quality management of fuel, lube and hydraulic oil. This year the company has been focusing on digital technology development and will be showcasing its two new smart products at SMM.

Advanced intelligent devices provide engineers, ship operators and users with optimised on-site testing of crucial oil parameters and offer automated measurement and evaluation processes with immediate availability of information. Moreover, cost-effective technical solutions are designed in accordance with requirements of international maritime sector and other major industries as well as enable achievement of global environmental protection goals.

New improved and upgraded test device TWIN CHECK 4.0 has undergone a complete re-design in terms of elaborating a modular configuration in order to enable replacement of every single constituent part (plugged or screwed) and provide customers with flexibility previously not available on the market. Smart navigation menu, automatic water-in-oil and alkalinity reserve (BN, formerly TBN) determination and a USB to serial cable connection for trend monitoring are the main features of the smart test equipment.

Digital measuring principle of iron content in cylinder drain oil is the key innovation the new test device IRON CHECK E brings about. Simple, quick and accurate iron determination due to the built-in chroma meter with LED transmitted light source provides efficiency in measurement and evaluation.

Martechnic®’s smart solutions system with customer-oriented approach includes not only smart products, but also smart logistics support and comprehensive service.
