BASS, the leading provider of integrated ERP solutions for the maritime industry, has proactively undertaken a rebranding initiative to refine its visual identity, goals, products, and vision.

In line with the rebrand, BASS has launched a new logo and is in the process of revamping its corporate website to showcase its end-to-end software suite and professional consultation services.

Rebrand purpose

“Over the years, BASS has evolved from providing modular vessel management software to what is now a full suite of platform-agnostic, integrated and end-to-end solutions that provide great value to owners and managers of vessels and offshore assets,” says Per Steinar Upsaker, CEO and managing director of BASS. “It was time to refresh the BASS identity to accurately reflect this direction.”

The company’s goal is to create a valued end-to-end ship management experience leading to safe, efficient, and eco-friendly operations. BASS aims to be an innovative maritime software solutions provider with a forward-leaning focus on new technology and on-trend shipping solutions. The new BASS logo best reflects the company’s mission.

A natural evolution from the previous design, the updated logo is simplified and streamlined, representing the company’s integrated, scalable, modern, and open solutions.

Commitment to maritime partners

BASS is keen to embrace the future, and the company’s refreshed identity symbolises this commitment to continuous innovation. What has also remained constant is BASS’s commitment to create best-in-class software solutions that streamline maritime operations.

“As we modernised our identity, we also took the opportunity to improve our approach to market needs,” notes Martin Bjoernebye, BASS’s VP of Research and Development. “Our newly enhanced 2.11 suite has comprehensive and configurable functionality, greater openness to APIs, and intuitive design. On top of this, we are shifting towards browser-based solutions and a software-as-a-service business model for convenient accessibility and scalability.

“That’s not all. Our BASSnet 3.0 BI Dashboard – leveraging on the powerful Microsoft™ Power BI Embedded – will be the first in a wave of solutions built on RESTful architecture for greater flexibility.”

BASS professionals – who bring with them years of shipping experience – also continue to provide 24/7 consultation and other services, ensuring customers are fully supported from purchase to implementation, installation and beyond.

“Our brand is central to our corporate culture, values and mission,” notes Mr Upsaker. “The rebranding exercise gave us the chance to reinforce what we stood for: a credible partner that our shipping and offshore customers can rely on for integrated solutions featuring leading-edge technology. With this identity refresh, we’ve affirmed our long-term commitment to be a trusted solutions provider to our maritime partners.”

The company’s rebrand initiative has certainly solidified BASS’s position as an industry leader in maritime software solutions. The new BASS look and feel will be rolled out gradually over the year in all products and materials.
