OxyClean Receives Class-NK Approval

DESMI Ocean Guard is pleased to announce that Nippon Kaiji Kyokai, the Japanese classification society Class-NK, has type approved our OxyClean™ ballast water treatment system.

OxyClean has so far been approved by four major classification societies, as well as receiving AMS acceptance from the US Coast Guard (USCG). OxyClean was the first system in the world to also be type approved in fresh water and to receive AMS acceptance from USCG covering all three water salinities.

DESMI Ocean Guard AS was established in 2009 and is located in Aalborg, Denmark. Our main activity is development and sales of systems for the removal of living organisms from ballast water discharged by ships.

DESMI Ocean Guard now presents a line of new and smaller ballast water management systems (BWMS) that completes a full range of BWMS.
Systems must start up and run reliably and also treat the water in accordance with the IMO and USCG standards.
It is of utmost importance that the crew has been familiarised with water management systems and has enough knowledge to operate and maintain the system.
