Another passenger, who was on the quarantined Diamond Princess cruise ship, has died, bringing the total number of deaths on the cruise ship to five.

The passenger was a Japanese woman in her 70s. Previously, four passengers died on the Diamond Princess cruise ship. All four casualties were patients in their 80s.

The woman was reported to have hypertension and diabetes and was confirmed to have the coronavirus on 6 February.
