Kalmar, a unit of Cargotec, has secured an order from Maher Terminals for the delivery of next-generation electric (NGE) straddle carriers.
Maher Terminals will deploy the new carriers at its marine container terminal in New Jersey, US.

The order for nearly 42 machines has been recorded by Cargotec in the Q4 2020 with delivery scheduled for Q3 2021.
The new machines have been ordered as part of the Maher’s fleet renewal programme.
Following receipt of the order, the total number of Kalmar straddle carriers in current operation by Maher Terminals will reach nearly 250.
With the completion of the new order, the count of Kalmar straddle carriers delivered to Maher Terminals will be more than 400 since 1980.
