MSC Mediterranean Shipping Company (MSC) has introduced Golden Horn to connect China and South Korea with the east coast of Russia.

The service will complement the company’s current intra-Asia network.

The new weekly service will connect the largest container terminal in Vostochniy in eastern Russia with the largest container ports in China and South Korea.

The company said that its customers will benefit from one of the most important rail gateways to connect the Far East to Europe through Vladivostok.

The first sailing on the Golden Horn will be MSC Nora HX 034R, ETA Shanghai on 19 August. The port rotation will be Vladivostok – Vostochniy – Busan – Shanghai – Ningbo – Busan – Vladivostok.

Last month, MSC announced that it has increased its short-sea and intermodal offerings to serve the Italian cargo market.
