OSI Systems unit S2 Global has secured a contract to provide a complete turnkey screening solution for the Port of Santo Tomas de Castilla in Guatemala.

Port of Santo Tomas de Castilla is currently the busiest port in Guatemala in terms of container traffic.

As part of the new ten-year contract, S2 Global will look after the civil works as well as deliver and integrate the Rapiscan Eagle P60 high-energy X-ray inspection systems.

The company will conduct security screening and remote image analysis using the CertScan integration platform for all the inbound, outbound and transshipped cargo, and offer full life cycle support.

OSI Systems CEO Deepak Chopra said: “Under this contract, we intend to build upon our prior experience and utilise our proprietary technologies and integration platforms, including CertScan, to help the Port of Santo Tomas de Castilla with their plans to grow their traffic, operations and become a leader in the region and achieve breakthrough improvements in security, efficiency and revenue collection.”
