Swire Shipping is offering a fixed-day fortnightly service, connecting North Asia with Papua New Guinea (PNG) and Australia.

The newly upgraded North Asia Express (NAX) service will start from November to offer customers improved convenience and increased frequency to their key markets.

Swire Shipping will deploy 2,750 twenty-foot equivalent unit (TEU) newbuild ships to support the newly upgraded service, which will connect North Asia with PNG and Australia in 14 days.

Customers are expected to have a nine-day transit time from Hong Kong SAR to Lae on the north coast of PNG.

Apart from the 2,750 TEU newbuild ship, Swire Shipping will also deploy MV Lae Chief, which will be delivered this month.

The vessel features 45t cranes that can carry all cargo types, including breakbulk, out of gauge and reefers.
