JES International Wins Bulker Carrier Contracts

JES International has secured a contract to build six bulkers from ship companies based in South Korea, India and Liberia.

The China-based shipbuilder has secured a contract from state-owned Shipping Corporation of India for the construction of four 82,000dwt bulk carriers.

The bulker quartet is scheduled for delivery in 2012.

The shipbuilder has won another contract from Samsun Logix of South Korea for the construction of a 180,000dwt bulk carrier, which is scheduled for delivery in 2012.

JES has also secured a contract to build a 82,000dwt bulk carrier for Liberia, which will be delivered in 2012.

Financial details of the contract have not been revealed.
