Marseilles Port Invests in Improved Road Access

The Marseilles Port Authority in France has approved an $11.9m investment for major road works north of Fos, in order to improve access to its container and dry bulk terminals, which will be completed by 2015.

The port is contributing $66.2m towards a planned diversion around the town of Miramas through a new dual carriageway section, with the rest of the funds expected to be provided by local, regional and national government.

The authority is also investing a further $6.6m on a new road layout at Cavaou.

The Cavaou work is scheduled to be complete by mid-2012, according to Portworld.
