Bollore is to build a third quay at Lome Port in Togo, West Africa, for $640m as part of the port’s expansion plan.

The quay will be 450m long, 15m deep and have a capacity to handle vessels up to 7,000teu.

The French logistics group aims to double the port’s current container traffic of 350,000-400,000 per year within five years, then triple it within a decade.

Bollore shares handling activities at the port with GETMA subsidiary Manuport, according to Reuters.
