Greece controlled 3,848 vessels including 621 newbuildings on order as of March, according to a report by the Greek Shipping Cooperation Committee.

The total volume reached 261.7 million deadweight tonnes, according to asiasis.com.

The number of newbuildings on order dropped to almost a quarter from 826 last year.
