Hanjin Shipping Opens New Vietnamese Terminal

South Korea’s Hanjin Shipping has opened a new terminal in Cai Mep, Vietnam.

The new terminal was developed in two years in a joint venture comprising Hanjin Shipping, Saigon New Port, Mitsui OSK Line and Wanhai Lines, and Tan Cang Cai Mep International Terminal.

The terminal is spread across 346,000m² of land, located at the basin of the Cai Mep River.

The terminal has two berths, a depth of 15.8m and is capable of handling up to 1.15m teu of cargo per year.

The company operates 14 dedicated terminals, including the facility in Algeciras, Spain, which opened in July 2010.
