Shipping Corporation of India (SCI) is to buy two anchor-handling, towing and supply vessels from Cochin Shipyard, India.

The 120t vessels were originally ordered by an unnamed Norwegian ship owner, but the orders were terminated by the owner in January 2011, following which SCI signed a contract to acquire the axed vessels.

The vessels are in an advanced stage of construction at the Indian shipyard and will be delivered to SCI in July and September 2011.
