Russian shipping company Sovcomflot has struck a deal with the Admiralty Shipyard for the construction of Russia’s first-ever liquefied natural gas (LNG) carrier.
The carrier will be able to carry 80,000 cubic meters of gas and will be delivered to Sovcomflot in 2012-2013.
Sovcomflot is Russia’s biggest shipyard and operates 132 vessels including eight LNG carriers.
