Carnival Cruise Lines will resume calls to Mexican ports, based on the latest guidance from the US Centers for Disease Control (CDC).

The CDC has lifted the warning advising against non-essential travel to Mexico.

Vessels are now on course to return to their regular routes that include calls to Mexico.

However, Carnival will continue to follow CDC guidelines, including pre-boarding health questionnaires for all guests and crew, and secondary screening by medical professionals.

In addition, all Carnival ships will stock influenza test kits and anti-viral medications for treating type A influenza.
