Hanjin Shipping Opens Busan New Port

Leading South Korean shipper Hanjin Shipping has opened its Busan New Port Phase 2-1 terminal. The 687,590m² terminal can accommodate three 12,000 twenty-foot equivalent class vessels simultaneously and has introduced the world’s first automated horizontal yard crane system.

The company is currently building three terminals in Spain, the US and Vietnam, which will open between 2010 and 2012.
