Dockwise Shipping has been awarded 11 contracts worth $63m to transport jack-up drilling rigs, semi-submersible rigs and port and marine infrastructure.

The company will transport the COSL Craft, Shelf Explorer, Seajacks Leviathan and Gorilla III to China, the Netherlands and Canada respectively.

Dockwise Shipping will also ship four cranes, dredging equipment, a jack-up working platform and an accommodation barge to the US, Equatorial Guinea, Egypt and Angola.

Under the contract, the company will also transport submersible drilling rigs Victoria and La Muralla to Brazil in 2009 and 2010 respectively.

The remaining contracts will be carried throughout 2009.
