Chinese shipbuilder Jiangsu Rongsheng Heavy Industries has won a $484m contract from Oman Shipping to build four ships.

The vessels will carry exports from an iron ore pellet plant in northern Oman, writes Reuters.

The vessels will be delivered by the end of 2011 or the start of 2012.

Oman Shipping is planning to invest $4bn on expanding its fleet, the company said.
