Mitsui Engineering Delivers Hybrid Transtainers

Mitsui Engineering & Shipbuilding has delivered 11 Mitsui-Paceco Hybrid Transtainer units to the port of Tanjung Pelepas, Malaysia. The company said it has adopted an EVSC (Engine Variable Speed Control) and an energy recovery system to achieve high performance.

Mitsui Engineering & Shipbuilding has delivered 11 Mitsui-Paceco Hybrid Transtainer units to the port of Tanjung Pelepas, Malaysia.

The company said it has adopted an EVSC (Engine Variable Speed Control) and an energy recovery system to achieve high performance.

Mitsui’s Hybrid systems will save fuel by 50%, reduce CO2 emissions by 50% and decrease engine noise levels.

The units are already used at Japanese domestic ports such as Tokyo, Nagoya and Hakata.
