Keppel Corporation’s Keppel Shipyard has almost completed the conversion of a floating, production, storage and offloading (FPSO) vessel for Bumi Armada Berhad.

Work performed on the vessel includes fabrication, erection and incorporation of a riser balcony, 12-point spread mooring system, topside facilities and renovation of accommodation and auxiliary support systems.

The Armada Perdana vessel can now process 45,000 barrels of oil per day and also features one million barrels of oil storage capacity with water and gas injection abilities incorporated in its topside.

The Armada Perdana FPSO vessel is likely to deliver its first oil in the last quarter of 2009, said Keppel.
