SF Pontona Norge has erected concrete breakwaters for Norway-based Skjærhalden Båtforening to combat harsh winter storms.

The company agreed to fix a harbour when Skjærhalden Båtforening needed to extend its marina and required a breakwater that could face up to 5ft waves, SF Pontona said.

Designed for harsh sea weather, the SF Marina USA SF 400 Concrete Breakwaters and SF 1024 and SF 1030 Concrete Docks offer mooring areas for over 130 vessels.

Featuring 30 to 50 years service life, the products are made from Styrofoam and concrete, can resist ice-stress and attenuate high waves, according to SF Pontona.
