Celebrity Equinox Sets Sail

Royal Caribbean’s latest cruise ship Celebrity Equinox has set sail with its first fare-paying passengers from the UK en route to the Norwegian fjords and Mediterranean following its naming ceremony at Southampton. The ship, which features ten dining areas, spacious accommodation

Royal Caribbean’s latest cruise ship Celebrity Equinox has set sail with its first fare-paying passengers from the UK en route to the Norwegian fjords and Mediterranean following its naming ceremony at Southampton.

The ship, which features ten dining areas, spacious accommodation (85% of which has a balcony) a lawn club and more, caters to 2,850 people and is 1,033ft long.

Its inauguration is planned for 8 August this year.

It is the second Solstice-class ship released by Royal Caribbean. The third – Celebrity Eclipse – will be launched next year.
