Chinese shipbuilder Jiangsu Hantong Ship Heavy Industry has won a CNY1.4bn ($205m) deal to build seven 57,000dwt bulk carriers.

The Nantong-based company is expected to deliver the orders to South East Asian shipping companies in 2010-11.

The construction of each vessel will cost Jiangsu Hantong $29.3m.

The shipping company has an order backlog of 45 vessels at a total cost of Yuan4bn in 2013.
